More adorable bubbas!

Another of my beautiful couples has paid me a visit recently with their adorable new bundle Cohen! Tim and Kiera were married last November at St Patricks at Nulkaba and had their reception at Peppers Guest House. I know I say it every time, but I'll say it again... I love meeting my past couples new babies!

Baby Cohen was so easy to photograph and was quite content with snuggling up in a little wooden box full of blankets. His big brother Coby was a little more adventurous, and after a few photos outside, decided to make friends with the children next door to me. Many laughs were had during the process of the shoot. Thank you guys for bringing your family around to meet me!

Cutie Little Bubs!

I love when my clients bring their new little bundles to meet me, and lately I am getting to meet a few. Caroleanne and Chad (whose wedding I photographed in May last year) came around the my house to introduce me to their new precious little girl, Amarlia! After a long time of trying to get her to sleep, we settled for shooting her while she was awake and alert. After a few photos with her big brother Ryder, she started to get a bit more sleepy and we were able to get a few quick shots of her during her brief nap. But then for the rest of the shoot, she was quite happy to be awake and taking in the new surroundings and enjoying the comfort of the duck down doona on my bed!

Thank you for bringing your adorable little cherub to meet me guys!

Taffeta, Wet with Dirt

One very rainy July day, I set off for Pokolbin to photograph Steph and Peter's big day! They were both getting ready at Harrigans before their Hunter Valley Gardens ceremony. As we made our way to the gardens for the ceremony, the rain clouds started to loom and look heavy, but so far releasing no more then a small drop here and there. The beautiful ceremony began at the top of the waterfall, and just as Steph and Peter were saying their vows, the heavens let loose and the downpour began. Everyone quickly shuffled back so they were out of the rain and the ceremony continued without a hitch.

During our portrait time many laughs were had, despite the fact the ground was now muddy and soaked, and Steph decided she didn't mind getting her gown a tad dirty since she had a second gown for the reception. And so began our afternoon of not being so careful with the dress and having somewhat of a trash the dress shoot on location. By the time we had finished shooting in the gardens Steph's gown was full of dirt and we could hear wherever Steph was walking. We then set off to one last location to get some stunning photos with a stormy background.

Peter and Steph's reception was held in the Breakfast Bar at Harrigans and was beautifully decorated with lovely purple touches everywhere. After a delicious dinner and cutting (and eating) that divine tasting cake everyone made there way outside to the dance floor!

Thank you both for an awesome day!

Golden Light and Happy Puppies

I was stoked when Danica and Gary told me they were bringing their dogs along to their engagement session as I absolutely love working with animals (even if they do say never work with children or animals). We arrived at Paterson Park one beautiful sunny afternoon and I was introduced to their Labrador, Papillon and Daschund. After the dogs had a run around the get out some of their energy we started working on some portraits with the dogs who for a while seemed more interested in putting their butts towards me rather than looking in my direction. Eventually we got the dogs facing the right way and we were good to go. And they were very cooperative puppies!

When we finished at Paterson park, we started chasing that divine light, so made our way up past Vacy to a gorgeous sundrenched paddock. The whole time we were shooting, there were three very concerned looking dogs watching us from the car, wishing they were running around in the paddock as well. As the light started to drop, we headed back into Paterson for a last few photos on the bridge. After we finished these, I was inspired for one more location back in Woodville. By this stage it started to get freezing cold and we were loosing light, so after a few photos here, we were done for the day.

Thank you both for a fun afternoon and for introducing me to your fur babies! I can't wait for your wedding!

A Beautiful Collaboration

On a sunny Wednesday in July, some of the Hunter Valley's best wedding suppliers teamed up to create a stunning collection of images following the theming of "A Winter Bride". Months and months of meticulous planning had gone into this shoot, with many mood boards created, colour palettes and swatches poured over and gowns designed and created from scratch for the shoot.

The day was long and exhausting, but so beautiful! All the months worth of planning came off perfectly and we saw our vision come to life! I cannot wait to show you more images after they have been released, but for the time being, here is a few to wet your appetite!
