Dusty Country Roads and dramatic lighting

Last weekend was the wedding of Courtney and Dustin. We had a very warm spring day and some absolutely divine golden light. I was completely stoked to take them to an awesome dirt road where there was dust flying through the air. Once the dust had settle, inspiration (and even more sensational light) struck me and I had my second shooter Kylie jump in the car and go up the road to create more dust for us! I was beyond stoked with the result. Just a little idea I have always wanted to try, so thanks to Courtney and Dustin for being my guinea pigs! And thanks for letting us spend an awesome spring day with you both.

Yesterday I had another very cool shoot with a model named Evie and Stacey from Stacey Hipwell Makeup. The aim was to create some really elegant, timeless images. I think we succeeded with that look. It was nice doing something different to my usual style in regards to lighting. And I must say the new house/studio made a pretty good backdrop! Who knew the chaise in my bedroom could look so good.

Cute Kitties and Cowgirl Boots

Last weekend was a very busy one for Candice Campbell Photography while still trying to recover from this dreaded flu. On the Friday I had a photoshoot with another adorable kitty from Nine Lives Four Paws Rescue, Cupid. What a lovely little man with such a big purr! Although he wasn't overly sure about getting his photos taken so half the shoot was spent chasing him out from under the bed and climbing everywhere to try and get him sitting still! But we got there in the end!

The next day I had started feeling a hell of a lot better, which was fantastic as I had a big day to shoot the wedding of Bec and Joey. There was so many awesome little details in their wedding, from the girls all wearing cowgirl boots, to the old timber and door backdrop at the reception. We were also blessed with some absolutely sensational light! A lot of fun was had by all! Thanks for having us there guys!
