Last wedding of Autumn!

This weekend I shot the last wedding of Autumn for this season. It was the beautiful wedding of Ellen and Aaron. The girls got ready in the awesome Yacht Club at Peppers Creek before heading to St Patricks of Nulkaba for the ceremony. While on location many laughs were had, butts were pinched, veils were pulled out of hair, dances were had and even a camera dropped. As the light started to disappear we made our way back to Peppers Creek Barrell Room for a beautiful candlelit reception. The fire was roaring in the open fireplace and created a really cosy atmosphere. A huge thankyou to Ellen and Aaron for spoiling us so much at the recpetion as well! The wedding cake was delicious!

Now that wedding season has finished for Candice Campbell Photography we are focusing our efforts on getting our new studio in Largs up and running! Won't be long now and we can do our big reveal!

Manicured gardens and cow paddocks

Another busy weekend has passed for Candice Campbell Photography. This weekend I had a lovely wedding at Hunter Valley Gardens and an engagement shoot.

Saturday was a lovely day with absolutely perfect weather! Mel and Daniel's wedding was held at the lovely little Chapel at Hunter Valley Gardens. Following the ceremony, We headed into the gardens for photos. Many laughs were had, stockings were torn and trains were dragged through ponds. I had a lot of fun on location with Mel and Daniel! After everyone had climbed into the hummer to make their way to the reception, we were blessed with the most magic light! So of course we had to make a slight detour and jump out at one of my favourite paddocks for a few quick golden light photos.

On Sunday I had an engagement shoot with a lovely couple who had travelled up from Sydney for the afternoon. Cynthia and Daniel jumped in my car and we made our way out through Paterson and went for a little bit of an explore past Vacy and Eaglereach. A lovely man even stopped when he saw us on the side of the road to ask if we needed help with our car. I love country people! As it started to get dark, we made our way back via Maitland for a few quick night photos. Thanks for travelling all the way up to the Valley guys!

Titanic-ing on Clifftops!

This weekend I had the opportunity to share the special day of Caitlin and Vincent. The day started with a very eventful midmorning ceremony at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witness in Adamstown. After the ceremony, we had a whole day of photos planned! And we really packed in some locations! Our first stop was the old shed in Merewether. Many laughs were shared as we had a picnic in the grass, hid behind broken doors, fell into a big pile of prickly pears and ended up covered with them and had kick lines of can-caning groomsmen! After we left Merewether, we made our way down to the old fernleigh tunnel for some photos. We made freinds with dogs and had to avoid many cyclists. From there we made our way to Redhead where Caitlin, Vincent and I went for a walk down a little trail and stood on a cliftop overlooking the ocean. Of course, Titanic style poses were needed! After much fun there, we drove down to Redhead beach for a few more shots, before heading to Milanos in Pelican for the reception and family portraits (and a bit of dancing on jetties while we were at it!). A huge thankyou to the whole bridal party for your amazing attitudes and makeing the day not seem like work at all! You guys were the best!

Glittering gowns and purple skies!

This past weekend I had the opportunity to photograph the wedding of Caroleanne and Chad. We experienced many different types of weather that day too! When I woke in the morning, I found myself looking at the dark clouds and packing all the umbrellas in the car ready to go. It was freezing cold so I was sure to put on a scarf. By the time I got to Newcastle it was hot and sunny with not a cloud in the sky.The ceremony was held in the beautiful Christchurch Cathedral. At the end of the ceremony, the beautiful big doors of the Cathedral opened and we made our way outside. It was bitterly cold and the wind was enough to knock anyone over! We worked quickly to do the group and family photos and then jumped in the car to head off to our locations. We lost light very quickly, but the darker it got, the more inspired I got! The streetlights came on and iluminated the purple sky, creating shimmering light on Caroleanne's gold sequin gown! Just stunning! We drove around Newcastle using various different streets and buildings as our back drop, occasionally stopping off places like the train station and the Great Northern Hotel for some more awesome shots. After that we walked down to Customs House for the reception where Kylie and I had our usual photobooth selfies, I got fed a prawn by the groom and had a bit of a swing dance on the dance floor with a groomsman! Thanks so much for a truely awesome afternoon and evening guys!!!!!

A few months ago I mentioned I was working on a shoot that I couldnt release until after the state awards had happened... Well here it is!! Enjoy!
