Cliff top maternity

Yesterday evening I got to work with a lovely couple on a maternity shoot. They had travelled up from Gosford for the late afternoon shoot. We started the shoot in Maitland before making our way towards Newcastle for the rest. We were blessed with the most spectacular light for the day, and also, a nice breeze that worked in our favour for the sort of shots we were after. It was quite a hike up to the top of the cliff, but I think the results were worth it (i'll try not to whinge about the ant bites and the massive blisters though). Thankyou both for allow me to capture such a special moment in your lifes! I hope you enjoyed the shoot as much as I did!

50 years and still strong!

In a months time, my lovely grandparents will be reaching their 50th wedding anniversary! So as a present for them, my family and I organised for me to do a photoshoot with them. These are some of the results. I had a lot of fun working with them. Every time I wasn't looking, they would start skipping along or whispering in each others ear. Congratulations Grandma and Gramps!

This past weekend was absolutely flat out! On Saturday we were faced with a rainy miserable day, but an absolutely gorgeous wedding between Kirste and Mathen. Even though the weather was awful, they never let it dampen their spirits and continued to laugh and have fun all day! Congratulations to you both and thankyou for allow me to be part of your big day!

On Sunday, I had the opportunity to work with another wonderful couple who were eloping! I have known this couple for quite some time and felt so honoured they asked me to document their private day! I can't wait to show everyone the sneak peaks from that one, but for now they will remain a secret until the lovely couple announce to their family that they are now Husband and Wife! Thankyou so much for allowing me to be part of your very special day! I wish you both all the best in life!

The busiest Luskintyre has ever been!

This past Saturday I had the opportunity to shoot the wedding of Matt and Angela. It was a beautiful clear day, quite a surprise after the wet weather we have been having, and the wedding was local. The ceremony was in one of my most favourite churches in Maitland and was absolutely beautiful. After the ceremony, we made our way to Luskintyre to do their photos on the bridge and Tranquil Vale vineyard. I have never seen Luskintyre Bridge so busy! Everytime we got people into position, more cars would come across. It was quite a mission dodging the traffic! The light around at the vineyard was absolutely superb! I want to say a huge congratulations to them and a big thankyou to all their family and freinds for making us feel so welcome at their reception. Alex and I had a fantastic night!

Rain soaked Maternity

Last Friday I had the great pleasure of photographing Alysia and Klinton, a couple who are currently expecting their first baby, due any day now! We were faced with a very bleak and rainy afternoon, but due to how soon bubba is due, we decided not to postpone and to just run with the rain. A little bit of torrential rain never hurt anyone right?

We started the shoot out at Closebourne House at Morpeth where we at least had the verandah for shelter every now and again. After that we moved to one of my secret locations where we had to work fast as the rain was coming down so heavy and there was not one bit of shelter. We then moved to my final secret location for the day, which thankfully, was fully undercover. A nice warm hay shed to finish off the shoot.

I had a lot of fun working with Klint and Alysia. They never stopped laughing and having fun during the whole shoot. Can't wait to get the opportunity to photograph your bubba when he or she makes their entrance!
