Shiny Kombis, Colourful Chairs and an Electrical Storm

Sam and Matt's big day was held on an extremely warm October afternoon at Woodville School of Arts. The boys got ready in Maitland while the girls got ready at Sam and matt's house with their cat keeping watch over the whole mornings proceedings.

Due to the heat and intensity of the sun, the ceremony archway was moved under the trees down the back of the School of Arts. The ceremony was beautifully decorated with an assortment of mismatched chairs and a timber archway. there ceremony was so heartfelt and I found myself wiping away both sweat and tears from my face. after the ceremony had finished and we all got some much needed cold water into us, we set of on location. Our first stop was Woodville Bridge where we had to contend with traffic to get a few rather windswept photos on the bridge. Off in the distance we could see a storm brewing and the occasional bolt of lightning. From there we set off for a few locations around Largs and Morpeth before heading back to The School of Arts for the reception. Since the temperature had now dropped and everyone was still outside keeping cool, we decided now was a perfect time to do the family photos before having a quick munch on slider burgers before entering the reception.

The reception was set up with the guests sitting at long rustic tables in a horse shoe shape with rainbow chairs tucked underneath and gold mason jars full of babies breath sitting on top. In the corner was Matt and Sam's cake covered with hundreds and thousands! Yummy! The heat inside the school of arts was quite intense so guests were really utilizing their mason jar mugs with colourful cocktails from the help yourself bar. The food was woodfired pizza and it just kept coming! And it was oh so delicious! Outside the hall, the thunder rumbled and the lightning flashed some of the most intense bolts across the sky that I have ever seen! Eventually the heavens gave way to a massive downpour and half the guests moved outside to cool down in the rain. Once the storm had passed, it was back to the dance floor for some loud singing and stomping before Sam and matt made their exit under the shimmering sparklers held up by their freinds and family.

Thank you both for such an awesome day! I had a blast working with you both!

Chess Boards, Dress Ups and a Glorious Sunset

Tiffany and Michael's wedding at Peterson's Champagne House was an absolute ball of fun! Both the guys and the girls were getting ready at Crowne Plaza, before making their way out to Peterson's for the ceremony. There was barely a cloud in the very deep blue sky as Tiff and Michael said "I Do".

After the ceremony and family photos, we did a few shots with the bridal party in the vines at the back of Peterson's and then stopped for a glass of champagne (and beer for the boys) and some yummy oysters Kilpatrick! Tiff and Michael then jumped in my car and we set off for a few more locations around Pokolbin. As the sun was dropping, the sky was becoming more and more of a spectacular hazy orange, which is just about my most favourite thing in the world, so we went to my favourite hill top location to utilise the stunning light coming over the mountain ranges. Once the light had dropped and I had finished internally crying that it was gone, we headed back to Peterson's for a few more photos around the grounds before the reception started.

The reception was an absolute barrel of laughs and fun! Throughout the night guests grabbed all the props and hats etc from the photo booth and wore them around for the duration of the reception. Both adults and children got involved in the dress ups! And the guests at this wedding knew how to party! the dance floor was the place to be, with shirts coming undone and all sorts of crazy moves being busted! I could not stop laughing while I was shooting I was having such fun!

Thank you both for having Merindah and I there to share in your incredibly fun day!

Balloons, Converse Sneakers and Colourful Kombis

Laura and Mark's wedding had everything a photographer (or me anyway!) could want in a wedding! Rainbow colour scheme, quirky props and accessories, awesome ceremony set up, colourful hair, balloon bouquets, Kombis and the most divine smelling dessert bar in the history of the world!

I spent the morning with the girls at Rutherford having the most hilarious discussions. By the time I jumped in my car my cheeks were hurting from laughing so much. Their morning ceremony was held at Tocal Homestead under the shade of giant fig trees. The ceremony was decorated with beautifully mismatched chairs, an archway of rainbow ribbons and a beautiful antique red lounge! Their ceremony was conducted by Phillip Greentree and got all kinds of shocked expressions and cheers when Phil raised his sword into the air and started swinging it! As soon as the ceremony ended Laura and Mark grabbed themselves a celebratory Sangria and we started the family photos on the beautiful red lounge.

Our location photos were done around all around Tocal, making use of the awesome buildings, the colourful Splitties and those awesome balloons! Once we had finished on location, at my signal, Laura let go of all the balloons and we watched them float off into the sky.

The ceremony was also held at Tocal and was beautifully decorated with mismatched furniture, a big table for drawing and colouring, lots of fairy lights and Edison globes and an awesome gold trolley wishing well!

Thank you both for having there and for keeping me smiling and laughing along with you all day! I truely felt welcomed into your family!
