Sandy Family Shoot

This weekend was quite a busy one. On Saturday Alex and I did some new portraits of ourselves for our website. So that was fun. We got ourselves all dressed up and headed out to Walka Water Works and shot for a grand total of about 15 minutes. Fastest Photoshoot ever. But we acheived what we wanted and have finally been able to update our portraits. Now just to shoot Matt's and we are up to date.

Heres two of the faces behind Candice Campbell Photography...

After our portrait shoot, I made my way to Glenrock with my sister to help her out with her HSC major work. It was extremely cold but was a productive afternoon. I did a couple of shots while I was there, but haven't processed those yet.

Yesterday afternoon I made my way up to Salamander Bay to shoot with a lovely young family on the beach in front of their holiday house. The kids were more interested in the water than having their photos taken, but we had some spectacular light and still got some very cute shots of them.

Another financial year over!

And what a busy end of financial year it has been. It seems I have neglected my poor blog here for a few weeks while Ive been madly getting everything organised and catching up on my processing while the weather has been less than idea.

Lots of things in the works for CCP at the present time, and you will all start seeing all these things gradually over the next few weeks. We will also be introducing our new wedding packages shortly, so be on the look out for those!

Since my last blog post about the Creative Asia Awards, I have had an interveiw with the local newspaper the Maitland Mercury about my entries into the awards. Ive attached a scan for you all! Enjoy!

We have also had a very sad week here at CCP. This week we said goodbye to a recent groom of ours who lost his battle with cancer. Both Gareth and Rikki's families are in our hearts. The love between Rikki and Gareth touched all of our hearts and will be a wedding we will always remember. RIP Gareth. You truely are an awesome guy!

Creative Asia Photography Awards 2012

What a busy busy weekend I have had. I finally have a free moment to blog. Last Thursday I received two emails regarding my entries to the Creative Asia Photography Awards. I was on my phone so couldn't see the whole email, but from what I could see, two of my images I had entered into the creative Asia Awards had been awarded Bronze! Needless to stay I was rather pleased. By the time I made my way back to the studio, I had received a third email, letting me know my third and final image I had entered had also won a Bronze Award. I am very happy with the results and have taken the judges critique on board. Looking forward to hopefully acheiving a Silver or Gold next year!

These are my three images that received awards:

This weekend was quite a busy one. I had the midday wedding of Joanne and Jared on the Saturday and a lovely newborn shoot with little Kade on the Sunday.

Joanne and Jared's ceremony was held at King Edward Park. Due to the rain we have been having, the park was very muddy. Not really what you want in a white gown! But they didn't let a muddy gown and a puddle filled park dampen their spirits. After the ceremony we made our way around Newcastle to a number of different locations before heading to Lambton Bowling Club for the reception. It was a lovely day and I felt honoured to have been chosen to celebrate it with them. Thanks guys!

On Sunday morning a past couple of mine, Adam and Alarna, brought their beautiful new little baby boy around to the studio for his first photoshoot. He was such an inquisitve little boy and was not interested in falling alseep for us. He was more than happy to eat the fur mat and try and wiggle his way out of every box and basket he was put in. Our morning was full of lots of laughs and 'awwwww'-ing. I had a great time!
