Pastel Flowers and a Ribbon Archway

The slight breeze made all of the pastel ribbons, that were perfectly matched to the bouquets and bridesmaids dresses, flutter underneath the stunning, handmade archway! Racheal and Mitch's wedding was just divine to photograph! Racheal had thought of everything, right down to the tiniest detail!

Merindah and I arrived at Peppers Convent just after lunch to photograph the bride and groom getting ready. The boys in one end of the Convent, the girls in the other. As per almost every wedding, the boys were so chilled out, while hair, makeup and lots of prep was happening in the girls room. While I photographed all the stunning little details in the girls room, and that oh so beautiful mirror, Merindah hung out at the pool with the boys.

The ceremony was held under the trees at Robert's Restaurant, under a beautiful handmade archway! And the light was just perfect coming through the trees behind them. After the ceremony and family photos, we wandered around the grounds of Roberts for some photos and then headed off to the Convent for a few more. Just as the sun was getting to that deliciously low point in the sky, we made our way off to one of my favourite paddocks in Pokolbin for a few sunset photos.

The reception was held back at Roberts restaurant, with long tables stretching the length of the venue, covered with beautiful pastel peonies and roses. To my absolute delight (and my taste buds didn't mind a bit either!), there were three wedding cakes! All different flavours! Racheal and Mitch's first dance was just lovely with some awesome country music that made me bop along and join in the fun while I was shooting.

You both have impeccable taste and should seriously consider a career in designing things for weddings as everything was just so beautiful and picturesque! Thank you for letting me share your day with and join in all the fun!

Manicured Gardens and Awesome Cars

On the 30th November, I made my way to meet with Kiera to photograph her preparing to marry the man of her dreams, Tim. It was all happening at the girls house. Hair, makeup, The Wiggles! Meanwhile, the boys were quite relaxed and running on "Fiji time" playing Xbox.

For their big day, Tim and Kiera had some incredible Chevs! They sounded just amazing rolling into the driveway at St Patrick's of Nulkaba. Tim and Kiera's ceremony was very sweet, filled with beautiful little moments, like hugs from their son, sand pouring ceremonies and tears.

After the ceremony, we made our way back to the reception venue, Peppers Guest House where we used the grounds for some beautiful photos. The reception room was just stunning, with the most beautiful centrepieces and a very yummy looking Candy Bar (I may have snuck a few little freckles). Their first dance was just lovely, and Tim even through a dip in there, which was just a wonderful to end the dance! I had a fabulous day with this lovely couple and their nearest and dearest, and I thank you both for having me there to share your day with you!

Waterfalls and Rainbow Umbrellas

Back in August I had the pleasure of photographing an unseasonably warm winter wedding. Kelsey and Matthew (Boo) were completely awesome to work with and had so much fun on their photo session they decided that when it warmed up, they should do a trash the dress session. And they did!

On a lovely, Sunny, December day, Kelsey and Boo arrived at my house and we started the trek down to Somersby Falls. Along the way we ended up chatting way too much and drove completely past the turn off to Somersby. After much deciding if we would go to Sydney or not, we turned ourself back around and made our way to the falls.

Once there, Kelsey and Boo were in the falls having a blast. Boo even decided to climb halfway up the waterfall. SO after sitting under the falls under an umbrella, splashing each other senseless and bride and bridesmaids photos in the water, we started the long (and heavy for poor Kelsey in her gown!) back up the stairs.

Thanks for being an absolute blast guys and for giving me the absolute pleasure of getting to work with you both again! Looking forward to the next time I can photograph you both!

Kitties, Lambs and a Stunning Mountain Range

On a very hot Thursday in November, Jess and Chris, the wonderful couple who run Nine Lives Four Paws Rescue (http://ninelivesfourpaws.wix.com/ninelivesfourpaws) tied the knot.

Their big day was so uniquely them, with their adorable little lamby as the ring bearer and some of their cats appearing as special guests for their portraits. Their ceremony was held at one of my favourite venues, Tuscany Estate in Pokolbin. The little ring bearer, Lamby, didnt like to be so far away from mum and dad during the ceremony, so every now and then had to be brought in to check that Jess and Chris were not far away. Sooooo cute! After the ceremony and family photos we took the bridal party, Jess and Chris, Lamby and the cats around Mistletoe Lane for their photos. The light was hitting the mountain range and it was just a glorious afternoon!

Their ceremony was also held back at Tuscany Estate, and the guests were served delicious vegan food! And it really was amazing! I can still taste the Zuchinni flowers now! After the guests started tucking into the yummy vegan lolly bar, the party was moved outside for the bouquet and garter toss! It was still about 35 degrees even at 10pm! So the courtyard under the stars made for a great dance floor for all the guests!

I was so honoured to be there and share your day. Everything you both do to help the needy cats of the world is so inspirational, and I'm so glad to be able to share your day with you, and call you both friends! Thank you for having me there!
