I really do enjoy lighthouses!

Last week on the 12.12.12 I had the oportunity to photograph a lovely couple at Norah Head Lighthouse on the Central Coast. It was a sweltering hot day, and I think everyone may have got a little sunburnt during the ceremony. The ceremony was beautiful with the gorgeous white lighthouse as a stunning backdrop. After the ceremony, the lighthouse keeper open up for us to go inside to do some shots. I was so inspired from the minute I stepped inside! The floor was black and white checks and the walls pure white. Magic! After we finished at Norah, we made our way to Long Jetty for the last lot of sunset photos.

Thanks for a great day guys!

Sweltering heat and a few awards

This past weekend the Hunter Valley was presented with some extreme heat! And myself, Chris and Annie were out doing their e-shoot in it! After many bottles of water, air conditioning in my car and dealing with flies, mosquitos and every other sort of bug possible, we headed down to the Hunter River to finish the shoot there and cool off a bit. Needless to say, we very much wanted to stay in the lovely water. Thanks for being troopers in that 40 degree heat guys, and thanks for exploring the abandoned house with me as well. Can't wait till your wedding at my favourite ever venue next year!

Saturday was also a good day in that the results for the Spring Australian Bridal Photography Competition were announced and I picked up two awards. I received a gold award for my black and white image of Jaylee and Daniel in the passion category and a silver for my image from Roxy and Sam's wedding in the comedy section. Stoked with the results!

I recently entered a number of my images into the International Loupe Awards. I was very nervous entering this competition as i knew I would be coming up against some incredible talent. But I am very proud to announce that 4 of my images scored Bronze Awards in the wedding category. I am rather stoked with this result as I know the competion in the wedding category is huge!

Here are my awarded entries.

Now to look forward to results coming out this weekend for the Australian Bridal Photography Competion and the The Edge Imaging Photography Excellence Awards in a few weeks!

Harleys in the Vines

This past Saturday I was able to spend my day photographing the wedding of Blair and Emma. The ceremony and reception were both held at the Mercure, Hunter Valley Garden's and was absolutely beautiful. It was an insanely hot day, and I once again found myself regreting designing a black uniform. Most of the time on location was spent swapping between beautiful backlit shots in the sun, to running for some shade for a bit of a break.

Much fun was had on location as heavy bouquets were thrown over the girls shoulders, hiluxes were jumped off and harleys were parked in the vines.

Thanks for a fabulous day guys!

Sandy trains and cute little men

This past weekend was yet another very busy one for Candice Campbell Photography. The Saturday consisted of a lovely intimate wedding between Megan and Sasha up at Shoal Bay. We were prepared for the worst weatherwise, with the skys looking very dark and threatening. Thankfully all the umbrellas from last weekend were still in the boot. Although luckily we only had to get one out for a breif minute. We spent our afternoon laughing and taking many fun photos at Little Beach jetty (where I could not resist running out into the water and getting my skirt all wet), Little Beach (where much to the laughter of us all, Megan's train picked up about 2kgs of sand that we had to try and get out) and up at the lighthouse (where we went on animal watch). It was a great afternoon with great people and I feel so honoured to be part of the special day!

The following day, I set up my backdrop ready for the arrival of little Denver. I had the wonderful oportunity to photograph the maternity session of his parents Kasey and Stee not long ago, and now I finally got to meet their 15 day old little man. He was such a dream to photograph, getting himself into his own little poses and staying there quite happily. He even stayed asleep whenever we moved him. He definatly makes a great little model, and if we don't see him gracing the pages of children's catalogues I will be quite surprised! Congratulations on your little bundle of joy guys!
