This weekend was a very busy one! We had two weddings this weekend, one on Friday and one on the Saturday. Both with vastly different weather!
On Friday, it was quite a chilly Autumn day in Pokolbin for Joesephine and Brendon's wedding. The ceremony was held on the verandah of Pokolbin Hall and had been decorated with tissue pom poms in varying shades of pink. Josephine made her grand entrance in a stunning pink chev. After the ceremony had finished, we made our way to a number of different locations for photos using the spectacular autumn light. I even surprised the couple with a visit to the Vintage Aviation hangar at Cessnock so they could have some photos with some aircraft. After we had finished shooting all over Pokolbin, we made our way back to the hall for the reception. And it was a chilly night! The doors had to all be closed to keep the warmth in. Brrr! Next time I will remeber to pack a cardigan!
On Saturday I woke up to a very wet day, and i mean very wet! The weather was horrendous! Torrential rain and dark looming clouds, and not to metnion that pre winter chill again. I made my way slowly through the rain to Shoal Bay to photograph the wedding of Laura and Ben. The ceremony was set to be held at Nelson Bay lighthouse, but due to the weather, the ceremony was moved to the Shoal Bay Resort. After the ceremony, we made our way out on location. It was wet, cold and miserable and the rain didnt seem to want to ease off for us at all. Between all the locations we got a few moments here and there between downpours where we ran for it. But the weather didnt stop Ben and Laura smiling. We headed then back to Shoal Bay Resort with soggy feet for the reception. The smiles continued and Kylie and I were made to feel so welcome!
Thankyou to both our couples this weekend for being so incredibly fun!
