Merindah spent the morning with the boys up at Vacy, while I spent my time with Ali-May and the girls in the stunning Lochinvar House. Just like the majority of weddings, chaos was happening throughout the house as hair and makeup was being done, flowers were being delivered and last minute alterations to gowns were in action. After Ali-May was dressed we stopped to breathe and do a few quick portraits in front of the beautiful windows in the main lounge in the house, before she jumped into the gorgeous Cadillac to head to the ceremony.
The ceremony was held inside Lovedale Chapel, out of the cold winter's day outside. When Ali-May arrived, she was in such a hurry to get out of the car to marry the man of her dreams that she didn't even realise she had left her beautiful fur stole in car until after the ceremony! The ceremony was full of laughs and was beautiful decorated with jars of flowers on the ends of the pews and some antique doors up near the altar. At the end of the ceremony, everyone collected some paper cones of dried rose petals to throw on the happy couple. These dried petals had been saved by Ali-May from every bouquet of flowers Dan had ever given her.
As we were doing some family portraits, we started to feel a few spots of rain, and as if on que, as soon as I clicked the shutter on the last family photo, the downpour began! Thank fully I had a car load of umbrellas, so we all jumped in the car and set off on location. Our location for the day was the beautiful Hanging Tree Wines at Nulkaba. When we arrived a dominos car was there waiting to deliver us some pizza so no one would go hungry on location (and for a few Pizza photos of course!). And so we braved the torrential rain and created some stunning photos that involved picnic blankets, pizza and a dog named Vodka! After battling the rain for a few umbrella-less bridal party photos, everyone jumped back in the cars and we set off for our last location, my favourite field. Ali-May and Dan jumped into my car so we could do some off-roading through the mud to get there, and using this location in the wet certainly paid off as we had some gorgeous rich colours!
Their reception was held at Lovedale Chapel's brand new reception venue and was the first wedding to be held there! After a few minor setbacks with the fireplace, the reception was underway! It was beautifully decorated with flowers in an assortment of vintage jars and bottles, antique doors, doilies and an awesome light up Mr and Mrs sign! Even though it rained outside all night, the dance floor was pumping and everyone had a killer time!
Thank you both so much for a totally awesome day!
