I say it every time, but I have to say it again, I just adore doing engagement sessions with couples! On a gloriously sunny winters day, I met with Sam and Matt for their engagement session at Paterson. The first place we had planned to shoot was Paterson park, but as there was a wedding happening in the trees, we decided to come back there later, so we set off for a few other little spots around Paterson. I was so excited that Sam and Matt were keen to pose for an image on the railway bridge, as it is one of those images that has plagued my mind for so long and threatened to make me go insane if I didn't get to shoot it anytime soon. So I am now a very happy Candice! After shooting some images in Paterson park, we jumped back in the car and chased the sunset which led us to the start of the Barrington Tops National Park. And I must say It was very very chilly! And none of us was dressed appropriately for that level of chilly! So we worked fast, got some stunning images with golden light streaming through the grass and then jumped back in the car to get warm. As we were leaving I spotted a cute little church sitting alone on a hill, so we made a quick detour there for a few last images. We were met by a very friendly pug who just wanted in on the photos as well. I could've popped him in my car and taken him home he was so cute! By this stage it was getting colder and darker, so we decided to call it a day. But as many of you will know, If I come up with some random idea, it will more than likely turn into a "lets do this last photo back in said location". And this is exactly what happened. Heading back into Paterson, I decided we had to go and shoot one more image and the first location we went to that afternoon. And I'm so stoked we did, as I love a good silhouette!
Thank you Sam and Matt for a fun afternoon! I cannot wait until your wedding!
