I spent the past week visiting my dear Husband in Gladstone, QLD. While I was there, I had the opportunity to work on a number of shoots.
The first was a lovely couple called Angelina and Dusty. Angelina and I both had the same quirky artistic vision for what we want to achieve with their photos, so it led us to some unusual locations such as half knocked down factories, QR National coal trains and shipping containers! Not the usual places for photos of a bride and groom and their two flower girls, but we had an absolute ball! Thanks for a great day guys!
I also had the opportunity to work with a lovely family from Gladstone at the Tondoon Botanic Gardens. We shot there very late in the afternoon and the light was absolutely spectacular! I did struggle a little with the humidity in the Tropical gardens though. The boys were mad about soccer, so it only seemed fitting to include a few soccer photos as well.
One of my Husband's work mates, Maddy turned 21 while I was in Gladstone. Her birthday treat to herself was an afternoon of fashion shoots with me. We had a fantastic time full of laughs, Marilyn Monroe moments, hanging off coal trains and looking for snakes in long grass. I enjoyed the opportunity to shoot something a little different from my usual work as well. Thanks Maddy!
