Photographer Profile: Alex King

So I have conducted a short interveiw with each of my staff, including myself (just picture me sitting asking myself questions) so that my lovely followers can learn a little bit about who we are and why we love capturing your moments!

Enjoy:

ALEX KING

A little about yourself:
Other then photography, my greatest passion lyes with cars. I Love motorsports, in particular car racing and Go-Kart racing.

Education:
I am a qualified electrician, but my current position is with a large construction company as a Planning and Controls Manager.

What did you want to be when you grew up:
When I was younger, I wanted to be a truck driver. Then, as I left high school, I had my sights set on a General Manager role in a large company

How long have you been interested in photography:
I have been interested in photography for a while, but I really got into it just before I met my lovely wife. As soon as we met up, my Passion (and im not just talking about her!) just took off. I learnt alot from her (and still do), she is so gifted!

Where is your favourite location to shoot:
I love to shoot small things.. But my favourite location to date, would have to be Hong Kong. Its just so interesting. I also LOVE to shoot cars, and I enjoy random alleyway's I find them interesting.

Why did you chose photography:
I enjoy capturing moments in time. This can mean anything, from capturing love between a couple, a busy worker bee on a flower, or a race car spitting flames as it screams around a corner. Most of all, I really enjoy shooting with my wife Candice, its our favourite past-time, constantly issuing 'photography challenge's' to each other.
Favourite thing to photograph:
I love to shoot alot of things. But my favourite things are small objects. I like to show the world that there is life all around us, but not necessarily always super visible. I also really enjoy shooting cars/motorsports.

What was your first "proper" camera:
My first camera was a second hand Canon 300D DSLR. It was upgraded about 6 months later to a Brand new Canon 60D, on the day it was released.
