Hot, Rainy Weekends

So this past weekend was so hot and sticky, yet very rainy, which was actually a nice change from the weather we have had this past week. I had two couples shoots booked in and we decided to go ahead with them despite the awful weather (and as most of you know, I love shooting in the rain anyway).

The first shoot was done on Friday night with the lovely couple Emma and Daniel. We decided to utilise the rain and do our own version of that amazing kiss scene from 'The Notebook'. It was awfully hot and wet, with lightning in the distance and heat radiating off the road. But I think we achieved something really beautiful!

On Sunday I had an engagement session with Sarah and Daniel out at the stunning Sebel Kirkton Park. It was absolutely pouring rain, but we made the most of it and created some magic! What an adorable couple they were. We had so much fun!

Happy New Year Everyone!

All of us here at Candice Campbell Photography would like to wish you all a very very Happy New Year!

Our year started off with a bang with a fabulous rockabilly wedding on the Bride's family farm. The ceremony was held late in the afternoon in front of their large dam. The broke mountain range was in the distance behind them and made for a lovely backdrop.

After the ceremony had finished we walked around the farm using some of the sheds and hot rods for photos, before jumping in the car to head off to another few locations. The light at the last location was so spectacular with everyone bathes in golden light. It was an absolute dream to shoot in!

After we finished off with the last location, we made our way back to the farm where the reception was being held in a big marquee. The sun had just set and had cast gorgeous colours across the dam. their were twinkling candles sitting around the whole edge of the dam as well. So of course, who could resist doing a few more shots there! Elise and Josh's first dance was an awesome, choreographed rockabilly routine and was a lot of fun!

What a fabulous wedding to start of 2013 with! Thanks so much for allowing me to share it with you guys! Congratulations again!

2013 is set to be a big year for Candice Campbell Photography with lots of new and exciting things on board. We have also started the year with a new team member on board, Kiera Campbell. We will formally introduce her to you in the next few weeks.
